SCAR TREATMENT

Scar Treatment After Healing from Injury

Topical application of our biological skin cream for scar treatment on skin wounds and scars regulates dermal fibroblast proliferation, and will prevent or avoid fibrosis, inhibit and decrease keloid scars and hyperthropic scars.

Scars are the pale pink and brown or silvery patches on the skin that form after the skin has experienced some sort of injury. It's the skins natural way of repairing itself.

Scars are a part of life and each one tells a story, however sometimes the scars are unsightly and embarrassing and may have negative affects in many aspects of your life.

The human body is able to withstand many different types of injuries, including penetrating trauma, burn trauma and blunt trauma. All of these insults set into motion an orderly succession of events that represent a healing response in which the skin is involved. The natural process re-establishes integrity by forming connective tissue (resulting in scars) and this response is characterized by the movement of specialized cells into the injury site.

When an injury occurs a migration of diverse cells begins immediately in the area and the complex healing process starts the moment an injury or wound happens.

Platelets and inflammatory cells are the first cells to appear at the site of injury and they generate key "signals" needed for the influx of connective tissue cells and a new blood supply. This phase is called inflammatory phase. The signs have been well recognized since ancient times: rubor (redness), calor (heat), tumor (swelling) and dolor (pain).

The arrival of wound macrophages is a marker that the inflammatory phase is nearing an end and the proliferative phase will begin. Lymphocytes appear at the wound area in a latter phase but are not contemplated to be major inflammatory cells involved in the healing reaction; their precise role in the wound healing system remains unclear.

As the Proliferative phase advances the predominant cell in the wound site is the fibroblast. This cell is in charge of producing the new matrix necessary to restitute structural integrity and function to the injured tissue. Fibroblasts attach to the cables of the provisional fibrin matrix and begin to generate collagen.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the animal kingdom, accounting for 30% of the entire protein in the human body. In normal tissues collagen gives strength, stability and structure. Collagen is necessary to repair the defect and regenerate anatomic structures and function. If too much collagen accumulates in the wound site, natural anatomical structures are deteriorated, function is compromised and fibrosis appears.

In summary, the normal healing cascade starts with a systematized process of homeostasis and fibrin deposition, which leads to an inflammatory cell cascade, distinguish by neutrophils, macrophages and lymphocytes within the tissue.

This is followed by attraction and proliferation of fibroblasts and collagen deposition, and finally remodelling by collagen cross-linking and scar formation. Although this orderly chain of events is responsible for normal wound healing, pathologic responses leading to fibrosis or chronic ulcers might take place if any part of the healing chain is altered.

Fibrosis: Abnormal Skin Reaction to Injury

Fibrosis is defined as the equivalent of the normal structural components of the tissue by alteration, non-functional and excessive accumulation of scar tissue. This is maybe the most crucial biological marker for fibrosis. A good number of clinical problems are associated with excessive scar formation for example, keloids and hypertrophic scars.

Keloid scars are basically thick, puckered, itchy clusters of scar tissue that arise beyond the borders of an injury or incision and almost never regress. Keloid scars are sometimes very nodular in nature, and they are typically darker in color than surrounding skin. They take place when the body persists in produce tough, fibrous protein (known as collagen) once a wound has healed.

Keloids are fibrotic tumors defined by a collection of abnormal fibroblasts with excessive deposition of collagen, fibronectin, elastin, and proteoglycans. Histologically, keloids contain relatively acellular centers and thick, abundant collagen bundles that create nodules in the deep dermal portion of the lesion.

Keloids present a therapeutic challenge that must be addressed while these lesions can cause substantial pain, pruritus (severe itching) and physical disfigurement. They unfortunately seldom improve in aspect over time, and can even limit mobility if the form over a joint.

Keloids can occur anywhere on the body, but frequently occur over the breastbone, on earlobes and on shoulders. Keloids mainly emerge in people with dark skin, such as individuals of Asian, African or Middle-Eastern descent. A person's tendency to develop keloids does decrease with age. But, one of the most troublesome aspects of keloids scars is their tendency to recur, occasionally needing permanent care.

Hypertrophic scars rarely are difficult to identify from keloid scars histologically and biochemically. Unlike keloids, hypertrophic scars stay confined to the wound site and normally mature and flatten out over time.

Both forms secrete higher concentrations of collagen than normal scars, but usually the hypertrophic type exhibits declining collagen synthesis after about six months. But, hypertrophic scars have nearly twice as much glycosaminoglycan as normal scars and this and enhanced synthetic and enzymatic activity end in substantial alterations in the matrix which impacts the mechanical properties of the scars, including reduced extensibility that makes them feel firm.

As with hypertrophic scarring, people who already have one keloid scar are more likely to suffer from this syndrome in the future and have to alert their doctor or surgeon if they need injections or are to have any form of surgery.

BIOSKINCARE™ Treatment cream contributes to REGULATE the skin healing, scar formation process and all associated fibrosis.

BIOSKINCARE™ is an organic cream that can help you to improve the levels of collagen, the most important elements of the skin regeneration mechanism. It is a natural cosmetic treatment cream, not a drug, pharmaceutical, or product aimed to cure a disease.

BIOSINCARE's main component is a secretion from the land snail (Helix Aspersa Muller). It is the same that they employ to quickly repair their own skin and shells when injured. It is a viscose liquid that is made into an un-perfumed white cream with no alien or synthetic chemicals. Topical application of the cream on skin wounds and scars reduces dermal fibroblast proliferation, and inhibits and decreases keloid and hyperthropic scarring.

Analysis of the secretion of the snail has shown that it contains biological activators that enhance the skin's growth factors which in turn reproduce brand new skin cells. It also contains antimicrobial peptides, and antioxidants that act as natural anti inflammatories and immune modulating glycoproteins. Their activity helps also in the production of glycosaminoglycans which are responsible for holding the water molecules in normal healthy skin. The skin is nourished with all the ingredients necessary to regenerate the elastin and collagen levels, which results in skin looking healthy again, quickly.

In simpler words; BIOSKINCARE™ cream helps your skin regenerate itself! It is additionally anti-microbial, thereby helping to avoid skin infections. There is nothing like it! And you can use it for treating a wide variety of skin blemishes: wounds, burns, sunburns, and rashes, cracked and dry skin. It works excellently on post-surgical scars. It is also ideal for wrinkles, age spots, abrasions, acne, athlete's foot, boils, chilblains, diabetic sores, diaper rash, infected nails, insect bites/stings, skin allergies, skin ulcers and stretch marks with incredible results. It is just fantastic for helping the skin to recover itself. Wounds heal with minimal scarring while it also helps shrink old scars.

SKIN RE-JUVENATION

Skin re-juvenation is really regeneration, removing the old and dead top layers of skin cells it exposes the new younger fresher cells encouraging new growth with firmer skin and a more radiant fresher skin tone. If you combine this with a vitamin application called mesotherapy you will get astounding results that you and your friends will instantly notice.

The treatment to remove old cells can be anything from light exfoliation all the way through to a heavier and more substantial peeling process.

At HB Health we provide you with guidance, choice and most of all the highest level of expertise in getting the results which suit you best.

The three effective processes for fantastic results which we strongly recomend are:

  • Microdermabrasion
  • Peeling
  • Mesotherapy

Microdermabrasion

As the names suggests this process utilises an abrasive method that physically rubs the older dead skin away revealing younger cells beneath. Taking normally 20 to 40 minutes , after just one treatment results are immediately visible and have no longer term side effects. It is suitable to have done if you are considering going out on an occasion.

We recomend and use a natural salt as the abrasive material followed with a soothing gel mask to cool and re-moisturise the upper dermis layers to leave a rejuvenated glowing complexion

Peeling

Skin peeling involves an application of a chemical or fruit solution of varying strengths to sun-damaged, unevenly pigmented, and finely wrinkled facial areas. The procedure is meant to diminish imperfections by peeling away the skin’s top layers. It has proven to be a very popular non surgical cosmetic procedure. The depth of peeling action may also depend on factors such as how long solutions remain on the skin and whether they are lightly applied, or more heavily or vigorously applied.
The practioner will select the best chemical or chemical mix for the individual patient. A solution is applied—using a sponge, cotton pad, cotton swab or brush—to the areas to be treated (or the entire face, avoiding the eyes, brows and lips). Generally, the most superficial peels are those using alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), such as glycolic, lactic or fruit acid. Various concentrations of an AHA may be applied weekly or at longer intervals to obtain the best result.
Depending on the strength of treatment selected , there will be short term peeling over several days following treatment as the old skin comes away, similar to peeling from sun burn. This treatment would not be appropriate if you wanted to look your best before going to a special event within a few days of the treatment.

Facial Wrinkles

How many times have you guessed someone's age just by looking at his/her face, specifically the skin? As people age, it's normal to get wrinkles. And if the person has spent a lot of time in the sun, at tanning salons, or smoking cigarettes, he or she might have a lot of them.

The skin is made up of three layers:

the outermost layer everyone can see, called the epidermis

the middle layer, called the dermis

the innermost layer, called the subcutaneous layer

When a person is young, he or she doesn't have wrinkles because the skin does a great job of stretching and holding in moisture. The dermis has an elastic quality thanks to fibers called elastin that keep the skin looking and feeling young. A protein in the dermis called collagen also plays a part in preventing wrinkles, because collagen is the most important component in the skin regeneration process.

However, over time, the dermis loses both collagen and elastin, so skin gets thinner and has trouble getting enough moisture to the epidermis. The fat in the subcutaneous layer that gives skin a plump appearance also begins to disappear, the epidermis starts to sag, and wrinkles form.

Here are some things people can do to prevent getting many wrinkles at an early age:

Avoid spending too much time in the direct sun.

Ultraviolet (UV) rays cause many wrinkles. If you are outside a lot, be sure to wear a sunblock with sun protection factor.

Don't go to the tanning salon.

Don't smoke! Smoking robs your skin of precious moisture and causes premature wrinkles.

Drink water.

Moisturize dry skin, especially during months when the air is drier.

Posible treatments

Restylane is effective for filling moderate to severe wrinkles around the nose and mouth. More than one injection is necessary to get a satisfactory result. The effect lasts for about six months.

Botox (botulinum toxin) is approved for treating frown lines between the eyebrows.

Other treatments for wrinkles include topical creams, chemical peels and laser and electro-surgical resurfacing.

Side effects

Restylane. While more severe reactions occur in only 1 of 2000 patients on average, some have experienced localized swelling at the injection point, thought to be brought on by hypersensitivity.Tenderness, redness, and very rarely acne-like formations have appeared.

BOTOX: Reactions to the treatment: Redness, and an increased incidence of severe bruising, severe swelling, allergic reaction, pruritus, severe pain, urticaria and psoriasiform eruption, skin rash and severe tenderness. These incidents were lower with follow up injections for both products.

Why Drinking Enough Water Can Help Keep Acne Away

Why Drinking Enough Water Can Help Keep Acne Away

You probably don't know this yet but product wastes and toxic build up in your system is one of the main reasons why you have acne or why your skin breaks out.

You see, your body has 4 channels of elimination...your bowels, kidneys, lungs, and your skin. Your bowels and kidneys are the primary channels that your body expels product wastes and toxics through.

The only time that your body expels product wastes through your lungs and skin is when your bowels and kidneys are overloaded with product wastes and toxics.

This can happen when you're not drinking enough water. You see, water is the main carrier of nutrients throughout your body and is quite possibly the single most important contributor to healing and preventing acne flare-ups.

Drinking enough water will dissolve waste products in your system so it can be easily remove and flush out. Without enough water, there won't be much to dissolve these product wastes and toxics...causing it to build up in your system and causing your body to expel these product wastes and toxics through your lungs and skin.

And this can and will result in acne breakout.

How much water should you be drinking each day to dissolve product waste and flush out toxins from your body?

Although some would say you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and some would say 3 liters a day or half of your bodyweight in ounces a day.

I say, you should drink only enough to see that your urine is mostly clear, which is probably much more than what you're drinking now.

But I wouldn't recommend you going overboard because drinking too much water will also flush out electrolyte minerals out of your system (which is not good).

So how do you know how much water you should be drinking each day?

Test!

Start by drinking 7 glasses of water a day for the next 2 to 3 days. If you see that your urine is clear then 7 glasses of water a day is what you should be drinking.

But remember, you don't want to go overboard so you may want to try drinking 6 glasses of water a day. If you see that your urine is kind of yellow drinking 6 glasses of water a day then you should stick to 7 glasses of water a day. If not then you should stick with 6 glasses of water a day.

But if you find that 7 glasses of water a day is not enough. Then you should try drinking more glasses of water a day and see the results.

What you're trying to do here is make sure you're drinking enough water each day. Not too much or too little.Another important thing you should know...

You can't just drink any type of water. There are certain types of water that's full of toxins (such as tap water). The 2 types of water I recommend you drink is distilled water and purified water. Distilled water has no minerals, which means if you drink it, it will leach out any unwanted non-organic minerals from your system.

But since distilled water has no minerals (it's just dead water), you will need to drink some purified water to oxygenate your system. However, you do need to drink them separately and drink it on an empty stomach for it to be effective.

While water alone will not eliminate your acne it will greatly assist your skin in remaining healthy and that will be one portion of the pie in fighting acne.

Face Care: Acne Cause, Treatment Tips for Beautiful Look

To look gorgeous and graceful all that you have to do is spend little time every day for nourishing and caring for your skin. Learn how to achieve a lovely skin by following our face care Tips

Acne (Pimples)

Acne is a common problem faced by almost all teen-agers and youth. What is acne and why do we get them? Read on ...

What are the Causes of Acne - Pimples?

Acne occurs when hair follicles are clogged by dead skin cells. Hair follicles produce an oil called sebum. If this oil builds up in the clogged pore it becomes infected, and the hair follicle becomes inflamed. If the follicle bursts, the infected matter inside the pores spreads across the skin, infecting the surrounding area and creating new pimples.

Treatments for acne

Acne can and does cause enormous suffering for those who are affected by it, and needs to be treated as soon as possible. Early treatment should limit the severity of acne and prevent the physical and psychological scarring that can be caused by acne.

Available treatments for acne today include medicated cleansers, exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide, Retin A, topical antibiotics, physical treatments, oral antibiotics, intralesional corticosteroids, hormonal therapy, systemic corticosteroids, accutane, and natural treatment formulas.

Benzoyl Peroxide: Benzoyl peroxide is the undisputed king of over-the-counter acne medications.

Salicylic Acid: Salicylic acid is a mild astringent that dries the skin and removes dead skin cells.

Topical antibiotic: These kind of externally applied antibiotics are formulated as water-alcohol solutions, creamy lotion, gels, and ointment. They are very effective in mild-to-moderate acne and dry up pustules quickly.

Tips for Beautiful Look

  • Don't pick pimples.
  • Drink lots of water.
  • Keep astringents away from irritated skin.
  • Go easy on the stress.
  • Check your diet. Fruits and vegetables are important for healthy skin and overall well-being.
  • Research products before using them to make sure they are right for you.
  • Do facial exercises and get facials.
  • Use olive oil to keep the skin supple.
  • Keep your hands away from your face. Hands carry germs that are often transferred to our faces.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Cut down on alcoholic beverages. They dehydrate the skin.
  • Use makeup, in moderation.
  • Wash your face at least twice a day.
  • Don't sleep with makeup on. Your pores need to breathe.
  • Steam yourself. It's great for the skin and reduces stress.
  • Exercise.
  • Use homemade body-buffing salt, made from coarse kosher salt, safflower oil, and your favorite essential oil.
  • Get a shower brush to reach the middle of your back. This may reduce the appearance of blackheads.
  • Try vitamin E oil for scars.
  • Condition the lips. Our lips are often overlooked until they begin to peel and crack.
  • Take a skin softening milk bath.
  • Don't forget suntan lotion and sunscreen
  • Lemon juice is excellent for embarrassing skin discolorations.
  • A full body massage is a great relaxing agent as well as a way to get circulation flowing through your entire body to improve your skin.
  • Never scrub your skin. Gently massage it.
  • Use soap that is skin-friendly. Some soap can be very harsh on your skin and leave a build up that keeps your skin from looking its best.
  • Keep all beauty accessories and tools clean to reduce the risk of germs infecting your skin?

HAIR CARE:

HAIR CARE : HAIR CARE TIPS

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR.

It's surprising the way some people treat their hair. Instead of giving it the respect it deserves, they tug at it with their hair brush, secure it with plain elastic bands that stick to the hair, lick it, chew it, clean their inky hands with it, stick their pens in it, wipe that excess eye-liner off on it.While shampooing, rub it, scrub it, pull it and generally bash it around before stuffing it under the full blast of a hair dryer.Phew! It's shameful.
Just because they're not going bald in a hurry, they take it for granted. And then they wonder why their hair isn't a shiny, swinging, sexy mane like in the ads, in spite of using the same shampoo!

Well, understand the facts of life. Hair is delicate, growing stuff which need to be handled with care. A lot of care.

First, identify your hair type. Is it normal, oily or dry?

So, who's normal? Well, if your hair isn't a constant maze of split ends, doesn't become oily quickly and is fairly well behaved, you could say it is normal.

Wash your hair twice a week with a mild shampoo and conditioner for normal hair. Towel dry lightly. Blow dry from at least five inches away, whether your hair is normal, dry or oily.

Stress, hormonal activity (puberty, childbirth), thyroid problems and eating too much fatty food and chocolates are what usually cause oily hair.

Oily hair needs to be washed more often but don't scrub too hard while washing. It won't get your hair any cleaner or less oily. What it will do is further aggravate the already overactive sebaceous glands on your scalp, not to mention cause damage to the delicate follicles.

And don't pile hair on the head while shampooing, even though it may look great in the ads. It causes tangling, leading to further breakage.

You could add lemon to the final rinse for a great shine. If you don't have time to shampoo every few days or feel lazy and leave it oily, your hair won't just look terrible, but dirt will get lodged under its surface causing breakage and damage not to mention dandruff. This will lead to skin problems such as acne on your chest, back and face.

So you need to be careful about washing hair regularly, though you could condition it just twice a month. However, if your hair has been chemically treated, you should condition hair after every wash as chemical strips hair of its natural oils.

If your hair is dry, wash it twice a week with a shampoo for dry hair, followed by a conditioner. If your scalp feels very dry and flaky, use an anti-dandruff shampoo. Be very gentle with the ends of the hair, which are the driest parts and tend to split easily.

You may be tempted to use styling products to tame the frizz, but avoid it. Frizz is usually caused by the inadequate flow of sebum from the roots, as it is being blocked by the flaky scalp.

Give your hair a good oil massage before washing, to loosen the flakes, and rinse hair extra thoroughly.

Beautiful Hair is an asset for any woman. Some are gifted with naturally beautiful hair while others have to really work hard on it. But essentially everybody has to work on hair either for improving or for maintaining them. Here are some tips to manage your Crowning Glory.

How to Make Salon Style Protein Hair Masks

Protein products can repair damage and strengthen the hair shaft, but too much protein makes hair brittle and causes breakage. A salon style protein hair mask is formulated to provide the benefits of protein but they usually cost a pretty penny at the salon. Make a protein hair mask at home that works as well or better than one you get from a salon and that is safe for your hair.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

1 whole egg
2 teaspoons olive oil
Bowl
Whisk
Shower cap or plastic wrap

Step1

Crack an egg into a bowl and whisk until the egg yolk and white are blended. Both the yolk and the white contain protein. Together they provide the base for your hair mask.

Step2

Add 2 teaspoons olive oil to the egg protein mask mixture.

Step3

Blend the protein hair mask mixture thoroughly.

Step4

Apply the protein hair mask evenly to the hair and work it into your mane. Coat the full length of your hair.

Step5

Cover your hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap to seal in the moisture content of the protein hair mask while it soaks into the hair and scalp. The amino acids in the egg repair damage and breakage while the oil softens and conditions both the hair and scalp.

Step6

Rinse the protein hair mask out of your hair completely.

Step7

Style your hair as normal.

Step8

Repeat the application of this protein hair mask twice a month for strong, shiny hair and a well conditioned scalp.

How to Keep Moisture and Humidity From Ruining a Hair Style.

All women are acquainted with (and loathe) not only humidity it's self but also it's affects on our otherwise goddess-like locks. I can attest to many battles with this said enemy. I chalk all my battle scars up to experience though, because I now know how to defeat the wicked sticky beast at its own game. Want to learn how to maintain that beautiful flowing mane in the face of moisture and humidity? Read on, and then run outside (and/or to the nearest window) and scream out "NEVER AGAIN" in joy and victory my fellow female frizz fighters! For never again will you waste priceless hours perfecting every gorgeous strand only to take one step out side and have it all shot to hell! InstructionsDifficulty: Moderately Easy Things You’ll Need:Large round brush Spray leave-in conditioner Blow-Dryer Anti-Frizz Serum Hair Spray ...Hair

Step1

The first and most important step in fighting humidity is coming to the battlefield prepared. During humid months keep hair extra hydrated. Try shampoos and conditioners that moisturize and hydrate. Also deep condition at least once a week. Healthy moisturized hair is humidity' s weakness. As a side tip, I suggest rinsing hair with cool water right before you leave the shower. The cool water helps to close up those hair cuticles, locking in moister and shine! (Can we say BONUS!)

Step2

Right after showering, towel dry hair gently but thoroughly. (You DO NOT want to rub hair between the towel vigorously or roughly. Despite common conception this does not dry the hair faster. However it does aid in breakage, frizz, and tangles.) Also, doing a good job at this step will save you blow-drying time, which will reduce possible heat styling damage to hair since you aren't blow-drying from drenched to dry.

Step3

Next, spray hair with leave in conditioner and comb through hair with a wide tooth comb. The leave-in conditioner is not only good for your hair's health but it helps fight against humidity by slightly weighing hair down. Try Aussie Sydney Smooth Heat Protector + Leave In Conditioner Spray (about 3.99 at drugstores nationwide.) It performs the task at hand, conditioning your lovely locks, with an added extra of a heat protector.

Step4

Using your fingers, begin to blow dry hair until it is about half way dry.

Step5

For this step, you will section hair into four sections using hair clips. (Two at the front, top half of head and two at the back, bottom half of head.) Starting with one of the bottom sections, release a one-inch subsections. Give section a quick spritz of the leave-in conditioner and then, using your fingers, pull the hair taut and blow dry the roots of this section. By thoroughly drying roots, you ensure hair stays sleek and straight all day. Next pick up that big round brush and proceed to blow-dry the one-inch section until it is completely dry. This works best if you slightly wrap hair around the brush and blow-dry on a lower setting pulling hair away from head, instead of brushing straight down.Repeat this throughout whole head.p. s. I use the Conair Performers Boar Bristle Full Round Brush (about 9 bucks and drugstores nationwide.) It smoothes my hair like no other!

Step6

Finally, after hair is completely dry, spritz your hair lightly with hair spray and then brush through it. Now, spritz your brush lightly with hair spray and work your brush from root to tip, gently. This step helps hold hair in place without that cakey, hard effect simply blasting hair spray can leave on hair. For a great hair spray try TRESemme European Hair Spray, Extra Hold (averages about 4.00 at drugstores nationwide.) It is very pliable but extremely reliable! And we are all done and ready to face the heat, moister, and humidity without flinching! Entire process usually only takes me 30 minutes from start to finish! Goodbye wasted tears and time, hello beautiful blowout that will stay in place for a few days!

Step7

Works on wavy to straight locks of any color or texture! Tips & WarningsFor extra shine, squeeze a drop of your favorite anti-frizz/shine serum to hand and rub your hands together. Then lightly and gently run hands through hair, from root to tip. Too much of anything is never a good thing. Too much product is going to make your hair look greasy. Too much styling and over time hair will look damaged. Give you hair a break a few days week by wearing a chic bun or braid!

HAIR CARE · HOW TO AVOID SPLIT ENDS

The truth is, once the damage is done and your hair is split, there is nothing you can do to fix it. You will have to get a trim and have the damaged ends removed.
Split ends are caused by many things- over brushing, exaggerated backcombing, brushing wet hair, coloring and perming, vigorous towel drying, elastic bands, hair accessories and your health, to name just a few.

Long, healthy, split-end free hair takes work and effort. Many people seem to forget this and then wonder why their hair doesn't grow, or why they have to have a couple of inches chopped off their hair when they visit a salon.
If your hair is damaged and you have split ends, the only effective way to get rid of them is to have them cut off.

Once you get your hair cut and all the split ends removed, do not ignore your hair! You should trim your hair about every six weeks to prevent split ends returning.

A lot of women think the length of their hair is more important then their split ends... "I'm trying to grow my hair... If I skip my next trim my hair will grow longer, faster!"
WRONG! Do not ignore your split ends, because once they are there, they will only get worse. The longer you leave them, the further they will climb up the hair shaft. When you finally go for a trim, you will have no choice by to chop off even MORE of your hair!
It is better to have regular trims and keep those split ends at bay!
There are a few products that can temporarily cure your split ends by sealing and coating the split ends and smoothing them down. However, as soon as your hair is washed or brushed, they will re-appear. Intensive conditioning treatments offer a temporary solution by reconstructing the hair shaft.
But the only real solution for split ends is simply to avoid them.

How to avoid split ends:
Do not brush your hair when it's wet. Wet hair stretches up to 25% and is most vulnerable. Use a wide tooth comb to gently de-tangle your hair.
Give your colored or permed hair the extra care it deserves. Use appropriate hair treatments.
Heated appliances such as hair dryers and straightening irons can dry out your hair and make it brittle. Avoid these appliances as much as possible. If you have to use them, use a protective product.
Let your hair dry naturally whenever you can; have a day, perhaps Sunday where you don't blow dry your hair, use product or straighten your hair.
Rather than towel drying your hair, try to blot it gently instead.
Avoid using rubber bands to tie up your hair. Use covered elastic bands, preferably the ones without the metal, as these can pull and tear your hair.
Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Your health and diet can affect your hair condition - a low fat diet can cause dull, dry hair which will split faster because there is not enough lubrication on the hair follicle.

Cure Your Acne Fast - The Latest Techniques To Acne Freedom...D.Vikroy

Tired of your acne? I was too after suffering from severe acne for over seven years. But, you don't have to suffer from it much longer - there are new lightning fast methods to treat acne and ensure it never comes back. This technique of mine isn't about washing or using some magic chemical to treat your acne. The trick is to find an acne treatment that works for you.

Sounds simple, yet most acne sufferers fail to understand acne treatments that work for one person may or may not work for another person. In order to become acne free, you need to wisely choose an acne treatment that works for your skin type, but how do you do it? Acne is caused by one or more of three factors: clogged pores, bacteria, and some kind of internal problem. By solving and treating your acne from the roots, no matter what type of acne you have - mild, severe, moderate, inflamed, blackheads, whiteheads - there are ways to quickly and effectively eliminate each type of acne, just by choosing an acne treatment that works.

But, how do you do that? The first step to discovering what type of acne treatment you require is by observing your type of pimple. Is it a bump that isn't inflamed (red, painful, and puffy)? Then, you'll need a chemical that unclogs pores. Is the acne you're trying to treat painful and red? This is because the clogged pore is packed with bacteria. You're going to need to find a treatment that unclogs pores and kills off the bacteria.

Also, if your acne is much more severe, it is loaded with bacteria, the acne is deep, and you're going to need to treat it fast to prevent permanent scarring. You're going to need to locate an acne treatment that fights off acne deep in its roots - not all acne treatments fight acne that deep into the skin.

That's just the basic steps for general acne, but whiteheads and blackheads also accompany acne, and you probably want to treat that as well. These annoying bumps can be treated with salicylic acid, roughly 2.5% to 5%, easily within a week.

Is your skin too oily? Why not try using an acne treatment that diminishes oil production output so you don't have to constantly clean your skin? In fact, washing the face too much probably is causing further acne breakouts. There are pills such as B-5 Vitamins that dramatically reduces oil output and has been very effective for all acne types, even severe acne.

If the skin is too dry, use a moisturizer that doesn't clog pores. Dry skin definitely leads to acne breakouts, and avoiding acne treatments that dry out the skin like benzoyl peroxide can improve acne over a short period of time. Natural ingredient acne treatments can dramatically help treat your acne very quickly.

Observing your acne situation, and basing your acne treatment purchase off these basic ideas is the best way to treat your acne. Do not believe what acne companies claim their products do. Know your acne, know why your acne forms, and figure out for yourself which acne treatment solves the problem your skin has. This is the one and only best technique out there to treat acne, and it is the only way you can stay safe and prevent yourself from acne treatment scams.

Acne Prevention -How to Get Rid of Acne With Salicylic Acid...A .Scott
Salicylic acid is a more-or-less common treatment for acne. Despite its name, some dermatologists classify it as a natural acne treatment. It is made from willow bark, and was apparently known to the ancient Greeks as early as 5th century BC. Salicylic acid, or at least its original willow bark extract, was also known to other ancient civilizations like Sumeria and Assyria for its medicinal properties. Even the native Americans like the Cherokee used it for its pain-killing property and as a cure for fever and other ailments. Today, modern man uses it as one of the treatments for acne.
Of course, in our modern civilization, we no longer need to process the willow bark ourselves. We can just buy the refined part of it, salicylic acid, over-the-counter. So, how does salicylic acid work as an acne treatment? Basically, it acts as a peeling agent, sloughing off the outer layers of the skin. As such, it helps to open pores and unplug follicles. An important point to note is that usage is preventive. In other words, you apply it to skin which is at risk of acne in order to prevent pimples from forming. Applying salicylic acid to your pimple after it forms is like locking the barn after the animals have run away. Once the pimple forms, you should be using something else like benzoyl peroxide or tea tree oil to get rid of it. Remember: apply salicylic acid continuously to prevent acne.

If salicylic acid is so good for acne prevention, why doesn't everyone use it? Simple. It is known to irritate skin. A normal acne treatment regimen includes the use of non-oily moisturizer to soothe your skin after you apply the salicylic acid. Given this, it is better for you to be patient and careful and start at the 0.5% concentration of salicylic acid. Only if you do not get the effect you want should you slowly start raising the concentration. If you start at the upper end of 2%, you could find yourself in pain, much like the after effects of a bad sunburn. The key is regular use at lower concentrations. If 0.5% everyday causes redness, then reduce it to 0.5% every two days. If two days is too often, reduce accordingly, and so on, and so forth.

Despite its 3000-year old roots, not everyone can use salicylic acid, even if you only apply it on your skin. Apparently, pregnant women and children should avoid it due to the risk of Reye's syndrome. Ditto for people who have kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes or poor circulation.

Anyway, here is the normal acne treatment regime using salicylic acid:
1. Wash face with a gentle cleanser

2. Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel (Do not rub your face dry. This will irritate your skin and possibly cause worse acne)

3. Wait 5-10 minutes for your face to dry in air

4. Apply salicylic acid cream or lotion over your face, avoiding the eyes and lips

5. Wait for the cream or lotion to dry

6. Apply non-oily moisturizer
There may be some differences depending on the brand of salicylic acid lotion or cream you use.

How To Stop Hair loss And Grow Nice Hairs
Reversing Hair Loss in WomenBy Lynn Seggern
For women that are experiencing thinning hair, looking in the mirror can bring about absolute panic and fear. The same reflection that used to be such a treat to envision immediately becomes our own worst enemy.

Women who have experienced thinning hair often share stories of trying to get ready in the morning without looking at their hair at all, choosing to pile it up in a bun in an attempt to hide the thin areas.

Throughout history women have associated their sense of self worth and physical beauty with the quality of their hair so it just makes sense that these feelings of panic and fear should come up when dealing with hair loss.

Hair loss in women can be caused by several different factors including stress, overall health, nutrition and a genetic history of female pattern baldness. For most of us thinning hair feels like the end of the world but thanks to advances in medicine reversing thinning hair has become easier than ever imagined.

How To Reverse Hair Loss In Women

A woman's scalp hair loss is directly related to the health of her hair follicles. If follicles are not healthy and strong they 'go to sleep' and cannot re grow hair after old hair falls out. By repairing and restoring those follicles to working order you can once again experience normal hair growth.

Hair loss for a woman is one of the worst things imaginable but there is still time to save your lovely locks!

Hair Straighteners - Which Are The Best
Hair Straighteners - Which Are The Best?ByScotie Keithlow
With the trend moving towards straight hair, many women yearn for the straight hair look. But if you are not lucky to have straight hair naturally, you need not fret because there are many hair straightening options that you can choose from.

Depending on how frizzy your hair is, you may want to choose one of these options.

Thermal reconditioning is a permanent method that is likely to take about 6 months to show the final results. This method uses chemical ingredients and therefore provides great results. But as with all chemical options, this is not really recommended for those who have hair that is thin, brittle or damaged. This should also never be the first option that you choose since you may not really like the look that you have and may want to go back to your natural style.

Ion Hair Restructuring is a method that was invented in Japan and is becoming popular these days. The technology used is complex and uses a method that infuses ions into the follicles of the hair. This process changes the basic structure of the molecules of the hair. This treatment takes a long time and can only be done in professional salons. However, the outcomes are long lasting and very flattering.

Blow dry is a method that can be used by almost anyone and can be done at home. It involves a simple, but time taking action of brushing your hair multiple times while drying them. This is an amateurish way of straightening hair and unlike the Sedu hair straighteners can never really straighten hair completely.

Hair irons are the most favored of the hair straightening methods and the Sedu hair straighteners have been the most popular. Made of two metallic or ceramic plates, these can be use by anyone in the comfort of the home. And these special Sedu hair straighteners are made to release a concentration of negative ions that helps faster straightening. The Sedu hair straighteners also heat up almost immediately and therefore save a lot of time and electricity in the process. The manner in which you should use a Sedu hair straightener is simple. Shampoo your hair and condition it well. Make sure to apply adequate levels of serum. Take a small portion of your hair and place it between the two plates of the Sedu hair straightener. Applying some pressure, work your way down and let the hair come out of the plates. So not stop till the ends of the hair have also gone through the plates of the Sedu hair straightener. On hair that is relatively frizzier, you may need to run the Sedu hair straightener a couple of times. Make sure that you choose the right temperature on the Sedu hair straightener to get the best results.
